Product Description
- The water post-condenser is used in particular for distillation processes with volatile solvents or substances with very low boiling points.
- In these cases, the main condenser may not be able to cool sufficiently to condense all the vapor. The water post-condenser helps to condense these remaining vapors and thus ensure complete solvent recovery.
- The water post-condenser ensures that no vapors are lost that could otherwise not be completely cooled by the main condenser. This is particularly important in order to maximize the loss of solvents and thus the yield of the distillate.
- Particularly when distilling high-purity or sensitive substances, the water post-condenser ensures that all vapors are completely condensed, which helps to prevent contamination and increase the purity of the end product.
- Particularly when distilling high-purity chemicals, the water post-condenser ensures that no unwanted vapors enter the end product.
- The steam that has left the main condenser but has not yet been fully condensed enters the post-water condenser. Here, the steam is cooled further by additional cooling and fully condensed so that no more steam losses occur.
