Product Description
- The PIG® acid encapsulating/neutralizing mat is used to safely absorb acid spills. It encapsulates and neutralizes the most common acids in case of spills and is therefore ideal for battery charging, transport and storage areas. The mat is not suitable for use with hydrofluoric acid.
- The PIG® acid encapsulating/neutralizing mat is made of polypropylene fibre, sodium carbonate and alizarin and is free of hazardous ingredients. When liquids are absorbed, the color changes and remains the same color after neutralization is complete. This helps to determine the best time for handling with the least risk. The mat absorbs sulphuric acid concentrations of up to 98% immediately. Gelling agents solidify acids during neutralization and prevent them from being washed out of the absorbent sock.
