Product Description
- The PIG® Acid Encapsulating/Neutralizing Absorbent Sock absorbs sulfuric acid concentrations of up to 98% immediately. It is used to encapsulate and neutralize the most common acids in spills and is ideal for use in battery charging, transport and storage areas. The absorbent sock is not suitable for use with hydrofluoric acid.
- The PIG® acid encapsulating/neutralizing absorbent stocking has an outer skin made of 100% polypropylene. The filler consists of sodium carbonate and alizarin. When absorbing liquids, the color of the absorbent sock changes and remains in the changed color after neutralization is complete. This helps to determine the best time for handling with the least risk.
- Gelling agents solidify acids during neutralization and prevent them from being washed out of the absorbent sock.
