Product Description
- The nitrocellulose kit is used for all applications with the solvent distillers of the EVOLUTION series where it is necessary to treat solvents contaminated with hazardous and thermolabile substances such as nitrocellulose.
- The system is used to monitor and control two steam temperature levels, thus ensuring increased safety during operation.
- As soon as the steam temperature exceeds the first limit value defined in the PLC (programmable logic controller), the thermal oil heating elements are automatically deactivated.
- At the same time - if available in the machine configuration - the forced oil cooling system is activated to prevent a further increase in temperature.
- If the temperature nevertheless exceeds the second limit value, which is also stored in the PLC, a pneumatic valve is opened to inject the extinguishing agent.
- The system consists of several components that ensure reliable control and safety: A temperature sensor continuously records the solvent vapor temperature.
- The pneumatic valve is controlled by an integrated timer, which precisely regulates the opening time.
- In an emergency, the extinguishing liquid is injected into the boiling chamber via a special inlet connection in order to avoid a potential hazard.
