Product Description
  • The double temperature point setting is an important function for distillation processes with mixtures consisting of solvents with very different boiling points.
  • This function enables a gradual and controlled separation of the two components.

Application
  • With the double temperature point setting, the distillation cycle can be programmed with different temperature levels.
  • This enables a more precise separation of the components, as the distillation takes place in two phases or steps, in each of which specific temperature ranges are controlled.
  • At the start of the distillation process, the temperature is set to a specific point that is close to the boiling point of the first solvent. At this point, the first part of the mixture, which has the lower boiling point, is vaporized. As soon as the first boiling point is reached and a significant part of the first solvent has evaporated, the temperature is raised to the second temperature point, which corresponds to the higher boiling point of the second solvent. In this way, the second solvent (with a higher boiling point) can be further evaporated and separated.
